Sylvain Amic appointed director of the museums in Rouen

Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen - Sylvain Amic, Chief Curator in charge of collections of nineteenth and twentieth century, and contemporary art collections at the Musée Fabre in Montpellier, will lead the museums of Rouen in September. He succeeds Laurent Salomé, a former member of FRAME who became scientific director at the Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais in last April. Sylvain Amic will now lead three major museums in Rouen: the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Musée de la Céramique, as well as the Musée Le Secq des Tournelles.
Sylvain Amic has been a member of FRAME since 2000 when he joined the Musée Fabre. Sylvain advised on the FRAME website in France since 2008. He also curated several exhibitions under the auspices of the association: Made in USA. American Art, 1908-1947 (2001), Bonjour, Monsieur Courbet! The Bruyas Collection from the Musée Fabre, Montpellier (2003), Impressionism, from France and America. Monet, Renoir, Sisley, Degas ... (2007).
