As FRAME celebrates 15 years as the only organization of its kind, we are grateful for the continuing enthusiasm of our many supporters who make possible FRAME's exhibitions, publications, educational programs, and professional exchanges. Since its founding in 1999, FRAME has grown to 26 member museums from the original 18. The FRAME collaborative network has produced 17 major exhibitions that have traveled to 31 cities in France and North America, attracting more than 2.5 million visitors; ten major exhibition catalogs have been published; three in both English and French; and through the Annenberg FRAME Education Initiative, teams from member museums have created innovative and lasting education collaborations. As we look ahead, exciting new projects are underway.
FRAME is a 501(c)3 U.S. non-profit corporation with offices in the United States and France. FRAME is funded by its member museums, foundations, and governmental organizations. In France, additional funding comes from the municipalities in which the FRAME museums are located. FRAME also receives financial and logistic support from France's Ministry of Culture and Communication, particularly for exhibitions designated by the "Exposition d'intérêt national" label.
