Art & Music at the Musee des Beaux Arts de Lyon
As part of an educational project called « Art and Music » a collaboration between the Dallas Museum of Art, The Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, the Minneapolis Institute of Art and The Musée des Beaux-Arts in Tours, some students from local music schools were invited to compose and perform a work inspired by a painting or a sculpture from the collection. A film of the performance is accompanied by the composer’s description of the process and is posted on the FRAME website for easy access by other museums.
